The Town of Houlton requests proposals from qualified contractors for repair and painting of ceilings and walls in 5 locker rooms and adjoining bathrooms at the John Millar Civic Center. All proposals must be submitted to the Town of Houlton 21 Water St. Houlton, ME 04730 or emailed to town.clerk@houlton-maine.com by 12:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026. The Town of Houlton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.
Specifications:
All ceilings repaired as needed in locker rooms 2,3 & 4, ladies, referee and adjoining bathrooms, tape, joint cement and texturize ceiling to match locker room 1. Clean all ceilings and walls prior to painting. Patches at ceiling are to be primed with high-quality primer, S-W premium primer or B-M Fresh Start. Paint entire ceiling with S-W Scuff Tuff satin paint. Walls are to be painted with Scuff Tuff semi-gloss. Painting to be performed with 2-3 coats or as needed. Locker rooms are to match color and quality of locker room 1. Bathrooms and referee room to be painted in creamy color. All floors/partitions, etcetera to be kept clean. Deadline for completion Friday, October 16th, 2026.
