Request for Proposals
Town of Houlton requests proposals to replace triple steel door frame at the Houlton Parks and Recreation Building, 128 Main Street. Specifications can be found on the website at houlton-maine.com or at the Houlton Town Office, 21 Water Street. Proposals must be received in a sealed envelope plainly marked “Rec Door Frame” no later than 2:00 PM September 16, 2026 at the Town Office, 21 Water Street. Specifications:
Triple Door frame replacement at the Houlton Recreation Building includes:
Furnish and install a new triple SR16 T 534 CFW A60 RHR/RHR/RHR – EWA (8) frame reinforced for closures and Rim Exit Devices. Existing doors, exit devices and closures are to be reused/reinstalled. New hinges, NRP 32D, weatherstrip and brush door sweep and thresholds are to be provided. All frames and doors are to be painted with Direct to Metal paint of high quality. Contractor is responsible for assuring the frame will match existing doors and door opening. Provide 4 copies of products provided for approval. Liability insurance with minimum of $500,000 per occurrence to be provided and Town of Houlton to be listed as additional insured. The project shall be completed no later than October 23, 2026.
