PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR POSITION
TOWN OF HOULTON, MAINE
The Town of Houlton, Maine is reopening its search for qualified applicants for the position of PULIC WORKS DIRECTOR. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the Public Works Department, which includes highways, sidewalks, storm drains, local bridges, the flight surfaces/grounds at the airport, and urban and rural forestry. Work involves personnel management, good communication skills, preparation and administration of the department budget, capital planning fleet management, labor relations and the scheduling of departmental activities and projects.
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is desired as is Five years of progressively responsible experience in administering public works and/or engineering functions. Must possess a valid Maine Driver’s license with a CDL endorsement.
